For most people who see pictures of Cizre from a couple of years ago, it would be hard to believe that this city is not located in Iraq or Syria but actually in Turkey. I guess many people see Turkey more as a vacation destination than a warn torn country. During a 78-day curfew imposed on Cizre between 14 December 2015 and 2 March 2016 an approximate of 116 civilians were killed by air raids and army assaults.
