It is impossible to do justice to the senseless horror that took place since 2007 in this once sleepy town on the slopes of mount Sinjar. The genocide that IS committed against the Yezidi is one of the blackest pages of recent human history. Despite the often mentioned slogan 'never again', history keeps repeating itself, it seems. Could we, as Western nations have prevented this from happening? Are we prepared to prevent similar atrocities in the future? Sold
